1. The service

BuildResumeOnline provides a free, in-browser resume editor with templates, examples, ATS checks, and PDF + Word (DOCX) export. No account or payment is required, and all core features are free.

2. Your content stays yours

You own your resume content. Because editing and exports happen locally in your browser, we never receive or store your resume. Don't use the builder to create content you don't have the right to use, and don't upload someone else's personal data without permission.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't misuse the service: no scraping at abusive scale, no attempts to disrupt the site, no circumventing security.
• Don't submit unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content, and don't use generated resumes to misrepresent qualifications.
• Don't misrepresent affiliation with BuildResumeOnline.

4. No professional advice

Templates, examples, ATS scores, and keyword suggestions are general guidance, not career, legal, or hiring advice. Hiring outcomes depend on many factors; we don't guarantee interviews or jobs.

5. Availability & changes

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, limit, or discontinue features at any time to keep the tool free and reliable. Your locally saved drafts depend on your browser storage — back up important resumes via JSON/PDF/DOCX export.

6. No warranties; limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildResumeOnline disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost job opportunities or lost data) arising from use of the service.

7. Third-party services

Pages load the Inter font from Google Fonts, subject to Google's terms. Email support is handled via your email provider. We're not responsible for third-party services.

8. Privacy

Use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains that resume data stays in your browser.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.
